# Signing in with Google

> Use Google to sign in, then add a password if you want to disconnect it later.

Use Google to create an account or sign in without typing a Vocab Monster password.

**1. Open the sign-in page**

Go to [Sign in](https://app.vocabmonster.com/login) or [Sign up](https://app.vocabmonster.com/login?mode=signup).

**2. Choose Sign in with Google**

Select your Google account and finish Google’s screens.

**3. Finish Vocab Monster onboarding if this is a new account**

New accounts choose a learning goal next. See [Onboarding and Goals](/help/getting-started/onboarding-and-goals.md).

Google-only accounts can still [set a Vocab Monster password](/help/account/reset-your-password.md) on Account → Security. A password is required before you [disconnect Google Sign-In](/help/account/disconnect-google-sign-in.md).
