# Practice results and missed words

> Review a finished session and decide whether missed words come back during play.

When a session ends, you see how you did and which words were missed. Missed words can also return **during** the session if replay is on.

**1. Play through the activity**

Answer each prompt. If **Replay missed words** is on, an incorrect word can return later in the same session for another attempt. If it is off, the miss is recorded and the game continues.

**2. Review results**

At the end of the session, review your score and the words you missed. Progress and practice history are stored on your signed-in account.

**3. Change the replay default**

Session setup can override replay for that game. To change the default for future sessions, use [Gameplay settings](/help/account/gameplay-settings.md) on Account → Preferences.

> Replaying missed words during a session is not the same as building a collection of missed words. Your library still holds saved words; results history lives with your practice stats.
